Terms of Service

1. Research will begin within 24 hours of receipt of payment. payment is non-refundable after research begins.
2. Payment is made for the time that will be spent on the research documentation of your family tree.
3. A minimum of 30 days is required to complete our research. If more time is needed you agree to comply. Common surnames such as Jones, Johnson, Williams, Lewis, Smith, etc can require more to to locate.
   
4. Results are not guaranteed. This is a rare occurrence but it can happen. Every effort will be made to find viable, sourced information.
   
5. You agree to provide factual information to assist in our research and verify to the best of your ability certain details we discover.
   
6. You will need to provide information on your parents and grandparents. Names, dates of birth and death, states of birth and death. In some cases the names of your parents or grandparents siblings will be needed.
7. No information found by or constructed by Reconstruction Genealogy will be shared with out your consent.
8. Relatives known and unknown to you will be contacted to aide in our research.
9. Our goal is to trace your family back to all sixteen of your great-great grandparents. Everyone will not have this luxury of all sixteen great-great grandparents due to unverifiable information.
10. Some ancestors require the purchase of vital records to verify or learn the names of parents or a spouse, the states and dates of birth, and the complete date of death. This requires customers to order and pay for documents such as birth certificates, death certificates, marriage records and original social security applications. These records range from $5-$50 depending upon the state. Applications will be provided once our research is completed.
11. Any disputes will be held and resolved privately.
12. In the event of an overload of orders, you may be wait-listed and given an estimated research start date.
